Abe's First "REAL" Snow

So we had a lot of people give us trouble about our earlier post, Abe's First Snow. I still hold to the fact that it was his first snow, but after our trip to Utah and Washington, he now knows what snow really is! None of us were used to the cold and I thought Ken's mom was going to kill him if he pegged her with one more snowball (I was just glad he was throwing them at her and not me!) but it was fun to be back in the snowy weather for awhile again!
Our neighbor across the street loaned us a snowsuit to bring and we were so grateful to have something warm to put him in. I think he got a little too comfortable though because he would always fall fast asleep when wearing it!

Three Month Birthday!!!

I can't believe another month has flown by! Abraham grows and grows and it is amazing how big and grown up he is getting! He has really become alert and talkative. He has started grabbing his toys and putting everything in his mouth. We've started putting him in his jumper too and he will entertain himself there for about an hour at a time. He is holding his head up completely and starting to sit up too. Happy 3 month Abe!!!

Carlile Extended Family

We were fortunate to be able to take a trip out to Utah to visit family. Since the Carlile family had grown and we were all together, we took the opportunity to have family pictures taken. Here is the whole gang! These are the Carlile cousins:
And this is our first "real" family photo. We were really impressed with how well Abe did during all this picture taking and that he is actually looking forward in all of his pictures!

We are having a great time and will post more pictures when we get them uploaded.

We think he likes it!

Here is some video of Abe. I love how after he gets the tickle he looks at Ken wide eyed as if to say, "What in the world is going on here?" He loves the sound you hear me making, it is always the sure fire way to get a giggle!

Our Week

This last week has been pretty non-eventful. Abraham continues to grow up more each day and I love seeing understanding come into his eyes! His smile and laugh are infectious and he just gets cuter every day. Our library, which is just 5 minutes down the road, has an infant laptime on Mondays so my neighbor and I took the boys this week. Abe was wide eyed through the whole thing, especially when they got out bubbles. When it was over they put out toys for the kids and let the moms talk. Well, the second the music and excitement ended, Abe was sound asleep! Even with all the noise of the kids, he slept, well...like a baby! Ken's spent some time helping out some people in the ward this week and we enjoyed having some friends over for dinner and games on Friday. Of course, I had to post Abe's latest cute photo! I've got some video to post, but I'm having some trouble with it. I'll post it as soon as I learn how!

The Results are IN!!!

For everyone waiting on anxious toes for the results of the poll and Abe's weight...we just got home from the doctor! The three people who voted 14+ lbs, pat yourself on the back, the little man even exceeded my anticipated weight, coming in at 15 lbs 9 oz! It puts him at 95%. His head was 75% and his height shot up from 40% at 1 month to 75% now (24 inches). He's a big boy, that is for sure...but a cute one!

Abe's First Snow!!

The other day we looked outside and there were snow flurries falling from the sky! I was so excited. I grabbed Abe, put a hat on his head, and ran out front for a picture. There was a small amount of confusion as we realized that it was only snowing in the backyard and not in the front yard, but we figured it out. You have to look closely, but if you do you will see the flurries falling around us! Maybe next time the snow will stick to the ground!

A Hard Knock Life

This happened a few weeks ago, but I haven't had a chance to post it yet. I was really busy and needed to get a lot done, so I put Abe in his swing. I turned on the soundtrack of Annie to help keep him happy. I was in the kitchen and I heard him fussing as soon as the song Its a Hard Knock Life came on. So, I went out to check on him and to my surprise, he wasn't fussing, he was laughing! It was so cute. I'd never heard him laugh that much or that long before! By the time I got the camera and got back to him, he was asleep. I guess he thinks his hard knock life is funny compared to the poor orphans!
